This page explains how we handle information in connection with the AppFrunk websites and cloud service. It includes a short summary of terms of use, privacy practices, and regulated-data expectations. This page is not legal advice.
Terms of use (summary)
By accessing or using AppFrunk, you agree to follow our Terms of use. Those terms describe acceptable use, disclaimers, and how to contact us about contractual questions.
What we collect
- Account and profile data (name, email, organization info, workspace identifiers).
- Authentication data (tokens, session metadata, audit events).
- Billing data processed by our payment provider.
- Service and diagnostic data (logs, metrics, support communications).
- Customer content metadata and query traffic required to operate the service.
How we use information
We use this information to operate and secure AppFrunk, authenticate users, process billing, communicate service updates, and meet legal obligations.
Sharing
We share information with vendors that help host the platform, deliver email, process payments, and provide sign-in/security capabilities. We may disclose information when required by law.
HIPAA, PHI, and regulated data
Some customers may use AppFrunk in environments subject to HIPAA or similar rules. Whether HIPAA applies depends on your organization, your configuration, and whether PHI is present.
A Business Associate Agreement must be in place before a vendor may create, receive, maintain, or transmit PHI on your behalf. With AppFrunk that BAA is built into our Terms of Service and takes effect automatically when you sign up — no separate signature or negotiation is required. See our Business Associate Agreement.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards appropriate to a cloud SaaS platform, including encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring, and least-privilege practices.
Your choices: deleting your account or data
You can delete content you created directly in the apps at any time. To request deletion of your account and its associated data — or of specific data while keeping your account — use our account & data deletion request form. That page also explains what we delete and the limited records we must retain for legal, security, and compliance reasons.
